On the weekend of 24th and 25th February, Tonbridge North Division took part in Girlguiding LaSER’s Big Sleepover 2018 where members were challenged to throw an international sleepover! The Rainbows, Brownies and Guides who came were put into four groups and visited each one of the overseas World Centres and enjoyed activities inspired by that location.
In Switzerland, the girls had a chance to try out some, what else, Swiss chocolates and learn the actions to the well known campfire song Edelweiss.
In Mexico, they made fajitas in the kitchen and God’s Eye crafts.
In Africa, the girls threw themselves into playing Djembe drums with a few extras.
Finally, in India, they made Coconut ice, Rangoli patterned tea light holders and had henna designs.
Here are some photos from the Saturday night. We hope you enjoy them.
